First pictures on inside the house

In the penultimate photo in this list (John’s bedroom with the 12:12 timestamp) there is a wonderful old photo (between the curtains) of a gentleman with the American flag mount surrounding it. Do you know who it is? I assume it’s John’s Grandfather or Great Grandfather? If it is indeed a close family member, I like to think it is now in the possession of a relative of John’s and Mary Grace’s. Can I ask if that’s the case? I sincerely hope the photo is somewhere safe (in storage as you suggest) and I really hope that it will soon be handed back to Mary Grace, especially if it is a photo of her late husband, Tom.
I am happy to know that not all of the household items have been sold off, this family photo being a prime example of those priceless, irreplaceable items which should remain within the family, albeit the extended family.
